Mister Taggart has done it again. He has taken the everyday flower and made it more Beautiful. No mean feat. He also along the way has added some very original poetry and thoughts on the enhanced flowers, opening new buds of thought along the way.After you have leafed trough the multitued of beautiful artistic imagrey, you might be satisfied to put the book down and wonder at All the beauty. BUT turn the page and the artist leads you through the creative process and you come away amazed at just how the Mundane(if you can ever call a flower of any kind mundane) has been lifted to another plain of beauty. Thank you Michael!
I enjoyed this book very much, because it was well written. The author explains everything in detail and encourages you to be creative as well. It was a true pleasure reading this and yes it has given me some creative ideas as well.
Michael Taggart's more usual models are men, so you may think flowers are a long way off and a weird choice of subject... not so. He is a versatile photographer! Personally, I am hoping in a "Cats" book. That said, these are not the usual flower pics. It's as if the flowers are pictured not as specimens on a botanical species, but as living, sentient people, each of them with their quirky, assertive, amusing, sensual, or aloof personality. They are never pretty decorative pieces but always intensely individual. Not to be missed!
A talented and thoughtful artist - so not just your average pictures. Definitely worth a look. You will not be disappointed!
