Veteran outdoor photographer Charles Blakeslee provided most of the astonishingly good color images captured in this 100-page book, which circles the park to capture its spectacular scenery in every season.There are multiple views of Crater Lake itself, with its deep blue waters and unique islands; the surrounding peaks, forests, and flowers; and the locals: foxes, martens, bear and deer. Included are some nice shots of the magnificent old inn on the south rim and the road that winds around the rim of the crater. "Crater Lake National Park" is very highly recommended to those who have been there, and those who plan to go.

Having recently visited Crater Lake, I wanted a book that came close to capturing the beauty of this place. This is simply the best.
