I can't say enough about this book and its authors. The #EDUProtocols community on Twitter has been extremely helpful in gathering ideas and seeing protocols in action. This book is so straight forward and practical. You can read an idea and then use it in your classroom the next day. I would recommend this to any teacher.
EduProtocol should become the go-to for every classroom teacher. Field Guide for sure! Jon and Marlena "talk" to you as they guide you through activities and strategies that can be used in every aspect of teaching- and most importantly student learning! This will be the recommended resource for all of my pre-service and graduate students.
5th Grade High Ability Teacher. Bought this book at the end of the last school year. I used some of the protocols over the last month of the year with wonderful results. Much of my planning this summer revolved around using these protocols. We did many of the ice breaker activities and currently have used 4 different protocols in rotation This is a must have. Website support and the authors are awesome on Twitter for additional support.
Jon and Marlena give classroom teachers 16 lesson frames that will help you focus more on the content and less on teaching an activity. Pick up this book and revolutionize your instruction!
Practical ideas for immediate use the in the classroom whether you teach elementary or secondary level. I love the relatable authors’ input and practicality of their protocols. I teach science and technology to elementary age students and this year, I kicked off my year with these ideas and look forward to using all year.
Easy to read and implement strategies! These protocols will set up your students and classroom for success. Marlena and John are great resources and can easily be found on Twitter supporting their readers. I'm excited to share these protocols with my staff next year!
This book provides some good strategies for changing up classroom lessons by incorporating technology. It’s not about complicated activities but things a teacher can do fairly easily.
Seriously? Jon and Marlena crush it for all T’s. This is what engagement looks like in a classroom! You teach? Well, you better grab this book and do it the way all kids will dig!
