Without giving tooo much away especially for any woman we can all find a piece of us or someone we know who is either in or been in a situation like this... u can't help who love but when that love causes more hurt like that jerk Charlie Mack do to Rochelle baaaby its time to gooo!! Cause he definitely AINT NO MAN he a lil punk.. Now Dante aka Lucky on the other hand is a Man but growing into a Grown Man trying to accomplish grown man thing's but needs to get out from under mama's wings and last but not least Snoop baby that's a GROWN MAN ALLLDAY definitely about his business and truly knows how to love a woman his only problem is that his woman doesn't allow him to because of her past but she finally realized it, but it maybe to late..she better recogniz before I take him , lol but definitely a must read my girl Redd did her thang as usual!!
Can’t Raise a Man by Redd is a interesting read. Redd does a good job. There are some errors but this book will definitely make you laugh and mad at the same time.You can’t raise a man to become a better man but you could teach him between right and wrong. Lucky has lot of grown up and get himself together to become a better man. Snoop is a dead wrong. My heart goes to Shante but she’s a something else.I want to read more books from Redd.Good Read:Sandra
My Book Review: The characters, Dante, (lucky) Shante, who is Dante's mother, Rochelle and Shena are the main characters. Each character speaks from a first person point of view so you feel the character is telling you their story. Out of the four characters, my favorite is Rochelle, she has self worth issues but she has a good spirit. My least favorite character is Shante, I can't stand a cougar. Four main characters makes for a complex of conflicts that may appear scattered all over but the reader must remember that each character is dealing with their own issue and their lives intermingle. The supporting characters definitely sparks the story line and provides the readers with a love / hate relationship.In the beginning the story line didnt quite catch my interest, however by the time I read about each character I was engulfed into their lives. My reading pace was slow to moderate and getting close to the end I was quite anxious to know the fate of each character. Authoress Redd did a darn good job penning a plot twister for each character, Kudos authoress Redd. The ending was satisfying and i'm definitely looking forward to reading more about the characters in this novel. This novel is a Darn Good Read and sits on my book shelf with a 3 / 5 review rating. (editing errors but did not disrupt my reading mood)
The title grabs your attention. The beginning starts off with everything drama. We need to vent. The storyline is on point. The characters are well developed. Everybody wants to be loved but we are also afraid of what the next person got to say about who we are with instead of just being happy. A great read. Waiting on what happens with all those cliffhangers.

Can't raise a man touches on several different situations that both women and men sometimes goes through in life! Redd's delivery of the subject matter sends you on an emotional rollacoaster with laughter, pain and joy all rolled up in one! This book caught me by surprise in a good way I really enjoyed this book now I'm waiting on 2 I like lucky he is straight to the point he does have some good in him but the life just takes him over I hope him and the school teacher get together and I was rooting for shante and snoop was gone get back together but I don't blame snoop for being tired and Rochelle with Charlie Mack woman beating ass now Charles is his brother oh shoot can't wait for that drama and lucky really got a crazy fool on his trail he just might have to kill her crazy ads can't wait I will be on the look out
I had this book for the longest and I just decided to read it So glad I did I guess GOOD things are worth the wait...I am loving how this book keeps you on your toes Charlie Mack was SHADY FOOL I can't stand him..Lucky I hope he gets his woman back....I am ready for PART TWO I need to see what happens next ...Nicki WilliamsSouth Side Divas
I would like to recommend this book to everybody who really likes Urban fiction. Redd is an incredible authoress and every book I have read from her is a unique piece. Great story line cant wait for part two. I was intrigued while reading couldn't wait to see what was next. Full of drama drama!!!! Love triangles for days playing with people's emotions is what captured me and edge me to keep reading . This book is great I recommend it 5 star I wanna get into detail about the book but you have to read it yourself. ♡
