About the Author

My 2-year-old son LOVES these books.. after purchasing this one (Planets, Moons...) I also purchased the one about frogs, the one about trees and the one about caterpillars. We don't read all the text but he'll listen through most of it and he loves the pictures. A friend saw these and purchased them for her older son (age 11?) who also loved it. Would highly recommend.. they're very educational, inexpensive and easy to carry around.

We got this book to go along with a telescope we got for my sons birthday. It gives more information than some of the more basic books but it's not too much for my 6 year old son to understand.

This book and the other 'Take Along Guides' nature books (berries, nuts, seeds; birds, nests, eggs; rocks, fossils, arrowheads ) are just what we were looking for to explore the outdoors with our young grandson. Each book has simple projects for the child to make. We purchased the Fun with Nature book that is a 'six in one' book and the four other Take Along Guides to make a complete set. We are pleased with the content of all five books we purchased. An excellent choice for beginners....

It seems like a great book for my 7 year old. Im taking off 1 star because my book arrived with a ripped page. It really annoyed me it was sent that way!

I just got this and looked through it. It looks like lots of fun. I love these books. Perfect for my homeschooling library.

This was a gift for my great-nephew who is eight. He absolutely loves this book. We bought him a telescope and this book was perfect for him to read about the different planets.

Book arrived with the cover bent, and the coners delaminating. One corner has some sort of greese on it. The white of the cover is grey as if dragged across the floor. The packaging it came in is not damaged or dirty at all.
