I am really enjoying the Objects of Attraction series by this author. Give me real life situations that make me hysterically cackle like a chicken and I am one happy camper.Ryan, who we met in Her Cherry (book 2) working with Hailey, is a single guy, not looking for a mate but trying to set everyone else up with their soulmates. Unfortunately people in his life are trying to set him up with Emily. They actually knew each other in high school which she remembers immediately, while he does not. Neither has the drive to enter into a relationship right now, she is going to Paris and he feels love just isn’t in his future. Can a comedy of errors, orchestrated by their peanut gallery help or hinder their coming together?This 4 ½ star book had me excitedly turning pages, laughing out loud numerous times as I pictured the antics these friends were attempting throughout the book. Even the hysterical Grammy turns up again at the nursing home. I want her to be my Grammy!!! William, Bruce and the whole gang are front and center in this sideshow of ridiculousness flouncing all other the city trying to “help†Ryan win the girl of his dreams. I can’t wait to see who stars in the next installment, please let it be Lilith.
I was so excited to see this book today as I was scrolling through the book selections. I've read previous books by Penelope Bloom. "His Banana" and "Her Cherry" are two I really enjoyed, very amusing. I love a book that can make me laugh and keep me interested throughout."His Treat" is the story of Emily and Ryan. I'll tell you right up front that those two weren't the most exciting people in this book. The secondary characters were. Grammy, Lilith, Steve, William and Bruce.William and Bruce are twin brother's from the 2 previous books mentioned before. If you haven't read them, I highly recommend reading them ASAP. Lilith is Emily's best friend and she also works as William's secretary.While I'm on the topic of Lilith, she needs her own book. I swear, I loved her morbid, negative ways. Quiet a character. She would be great falling in love with a perky annoying guy. It would be hilarious! Penelope Bloom do your writing magic there.Anyway, back to the main characters. Emily is a struggling artist, who is waiting to go to school in Paris. Ryan is a baker, who runs a string of bakery's and he lives with a roommate Steve. Emily and Ryan went to school together and she had a kind of crush on him back then. I really didn't feel a lot of chemistry throughout the book with those two but it is what it is. Ryan ends up hiring Emily to do some Halloween decorations for a big Halloween party. Emily is unsure if she should get involved with Ryan since she will be leaving soon and Ryan doesn't do relationships. Since he's always had bad luck with them. I didn't get a lot of connection or romance from the couple. Frankly, they were kind of Blah. Thankfully the others characters made this book what it is, funny and enjoyable.- Well Written.- Didn't Notice Any Editing Issues.- Funny.- Only 1 Sex Scene (not really graphic).- Couples Chemistry : Like a 2 out of 10. I wasn't feeling or seeing it.- The Secondary Characters Carried This Book And Made It Good.- I Would Recommend This BookðŸ†

A fantastic blend of romance, laugh out loud humor, sexiness, and too many hijinks to count!Captured my heart from the first page to the very last, I honestly did not want it to end! Ryan is actually a pretty normal guy and I enjoyed his banter with artist Emily. Emily and Ryan are both hesitant for different reasons but things heat up later in the story. The strange ones are Ryan's roommate Steve, the Chamberson twins, and Emily's friend Lilith. Oh, and sex-crazed Grammy. At the heart of it all are two people who want to fall in love, not be hurt, and have great careers, too. Can it be done? You bet, and with the silliest help possible.
